Salik & Darb tolls explained for renters

Both Dubai and Abu Dhabi use automatic toll gates — Salik in Dubai and Darb in Abu Dhabi. There are no booths; a fee is charged each time you pass a gate.

Your rental car has a toll tag fitted. Each toll you incur during your rental is recorded and passed through to you at the actual amount — no surprises and no mark-up on the toll itself.
